Rabies Clinic Information:

Coventry's Rabies Clinic is held every spring at Captain Nathan Hale Middle School. 

What to bring with you:

  • Written proof of your pet's last rabies vaccination if applicable
  • $20 cash for each pet

With over 100 animals expected at the clinic, for the safety of clinic workers, patrons, and your wonderful pets, we ask that all cats be brought in carriers and all dogs must be on a leash.

Dog Licenses

Per state statute, all dogs six months of age and older must be licensed annually. Dog licenses can be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office. Payments can be made by cash or check, payable to: Town of Coventry.

What to bring with you to get your dogs licensed:

  • Current Rabies Certificate (a license cannot be issued without proof of up to date vaccination)
  • Spay/Neuter Certificate (this may be its own certificate or identified on current rabies certificate)

Fees

Dog licenses should be renewed in June. A $1 per month late fee will be added to the cost of the license for each month the license has not been renewed starting July 1.

Additional Information

There is a substantial cost savings when licensing a neutered / spayed dog versus one that is not. If you adopt a dog over the age of six months and license within 30 days, no late penalties will be assessed.
