Welcome to Camp Wangumbaug!

Camp Wangumbaug is Coventry’s traditional summer day camp operated by the Town of Coventry Parks & Recreation Department. Serving children entering Grades K–8, our program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment filled with outdoor recreation, creative activities, themed events, and opportunities to build lasting friendships.

Campers are grouped by grade level for age-appropriate programming while still enjoying the energy of our larger camp community. Our trained staff focus on safety, inclusion, teamwork, and helping every child feel confident and connected — whether they’re returning campers or new to town.

Dates & Hours

Camp Season:
June 22 – August 14, 2026 (Closed July 3, 2026 in observance of Independence Day)

Hours:
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM 

Before Care available starting at 7am & After Care available until 5:00pm - additional fee

Rates

Coventry Residents: $230 per week
Non-Residents: $250 per week

Registration is weekly. Families may enroll for as many weeks as desired. Due at the time of registration is a $25 non refundable/non transferable deposit per child/per week. 

Before Care: 7:00 AM-9:00 AM | $47 per week
After Care: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM | $38 per week
