Out to Lunch Bunch - Monthly Excursion

Once a month a group of folks join together for lunch around the Northeastern area of CT. The group travels to various restaurants to experience different kinds of cuisine together. RSVP is required - some folks meet at the Senior Center and join the bus for the ride to the restaurant while others meet the group at the restaurant. Ride services are available if you need to be picked up at home.

Join day trips

Special senior wellness trips are provided several times per year. Transportation costs for these low cost, handicap-accessible bus trips are funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut. Generally, there are nominal fees for event admissions, dining, and driver tips.

Previous trips include: 

• Fall foliage bus trips to Eastern and Northwestern Connecticut, 
• A trip to Jamestown, Rhode Island to see the tall ships in Narragansett Bay, 
• Museums and Botanical Gardens, 
• Concert and Theater trips, 
• Agricultural fairs

Spring Trips 2024: Transportation Available

• Breakfast & Plants: Thursday April 11th, 9:15 - 1:00pm

  • Our group will start with breakfast at Blondie's Diner in Willimantic, followed by time at Logee's Greenhouses in Danielson.

• Fabric Shops & Lunch: Wednesday May 22nd, 9:30 - 1:00

  • This trip will start at Stitch Chicks Quilt Shop in North Franklin, followed by a visit to Colchester Mill Fabrics. We will end this trip with lunch at a local spot in Colchester.

• Hart's Greenhouse: Wednesday June 5th, Timing TBD

  • Take a trip to Hart's Greenhouse in Brooklyn, followed by lunch at a local restaurant!
